Joshua Shockey is from Leavenworth, Kansas where he works in insurance and raises two boys with his wife, Whitney. Though Joshua enjoys his job he is a singer/performer by trade and would rather be doing that at any given time. He has performed in and/or directed more than 65 productions. His favorite roles have included Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” Pippin in “Pippin,” Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors” and The Artful Dodger in “Oliver!” His favorite directing credits include “Nunsense” (four times), “Once Upon A Mattress,” his bi-annual Christmas Revues and “Annie” (five times). Joshua also gives back to the community by performing solo concerts as a way to raise money for cancer research, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Mercy Hospital and for VH1’s Save The Music. Joshua sits on the board of the River City Community Players in Leavenworth and also has his own production company which is devoted to producing (mostly) Children’s Theatre. Joshua has two Christmas CD’s already “out there” and is working on a main-stream solo CD and hopes to have it completed sometime in late 2013.
